Tuned in D Major with a Pentatonic Scale, Ancient Tunes Drums have 5 main notes: D, E, F♯, A, and B that are represented on the drums by the numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. In contrast, other Ethereal Drums in D Major genereally have the standard 7 main notes:  D, E, F♯, G, A, B, and C♯ that are represented by the numbers 1 to 7. Why use a Pentatonic Scale? Well, Pentatonic Scales were developed independently by many ancient civilizations for their music! The timbre of the notes is also modified to give it a more traditional sound. If you’d like to play these ancient-styled tunes, then this drum is for you!
